It’s Time to Follow Your Passion!
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing magic and speaking for a group of 300 college students at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. I presented my “Magic of Passion in Business” for them, in which I outlined why now is the best time in history to pursue your passion.
While following your passion is obviously working for me, I was not just emphasizing that you need to create a business out of your artistic abilities. Rather the exact opposite; thanks to the internet if you have any sort of passion, be it a career vision (line of work, working for a company), an art that you would like to share with the world, or even want to raise funds or invent a product that makes people’s lives better, you can now do that more cheaply and easily than ever.
The internet was not just invented for sharing cat photos (see my cat here!), it was invented to share information. Thanks for continuous innovations, it has transformed into a connection machine. It is a machine designed to spread your message, and to connect with others, no matter what you have a passion for.
It was an honor to perform and speak to these students. After the show, I shared a bit of close up magic and had some extremely in depth discussions about nitty gritty tactics that they can use to get moving on their passion right away, even while they are students.
